I’m a Broadcast Journalism student at Missouri State University with experience both in front of and behind the camera. Through Ozarks News Brief, I’ve anchored live newscasts, performed live looks and look-lives, and written and edited broadcast stories under deadline. I’ve also developed experience using teleprompters, interviewing sources, and editing video content through newsroom-style production work.
One of the most incredible experiences of my college career was being selected as a student runner for the 3rd Hour TODAY Show Route 66 live broadcast through NBCU Academy. Having the opportunity to work alongside professionals during a national live broadcast gave me valuable insight into the fast-paced environment of television news. It strengthened my passion for the industry even more.
Alongside my broadcast work, I’ve contributed as a guest writer for The Standard with multiple published stories. I also wrote for The Montage, where I earned 3rd Place in Feature Writing from the Missouri College Media Association for my article covering the AFSP Suicide Prevention Walk.
My passion for storytelling started early through my high school broadcast program, where I helped create content for our school’s YouTube channel. Since then, I’ve continued building my skills in writing, editing, reporting, and on-air performance.
I’m passionate about telling meaningful, impactful stories and bringing them to life, whether that’s behind the camera, editing, or in front of it, delivering the news!
